We must admit, we have a thing for Jamie Lewis. Always producing deep hous vibes with loads of ‘classic’ potential for the next couple of years. So we’re glad to put the WMC sampler 2010 of his label  in our spotlight.

   We are always excited when we receive a new demo in the mailbox from this 2 excellent DJs and producers who never fail.
   Do you remember when everything started? When people where wearing smiling yellow shirts and the illegal raves & underground parties took place in some warehouses rented for one night? Hornbostel & Azzetto worked hard in the studio to bring back the feeling of “once upon a time”. “84 Kingstreet” was last year’s super jam. Yes, cccccciiiiiiiiiiiiiiddddddddddddddd!!!!!
3. Nightrhymes feat Tasita d’Mour – «Keep on pushing» (Original Mix)
   Chapeau for another great Italian team who is delivering pure quality music Nightrhymes are now exclusively signed to Purple Music and Miss Tasita reconfirms once again her class! Wicked!!
4. Souldynamic feat. Lt Brown – «Body Music» (Purple Music Bonus Mix)
   Body Music or Purple Music?? The high talented Italian duo teamed up with one of the most favourite male singer Lt Brown. We are proud to welcome Souldynamic to be part of the exclusive Purple family.
5. Franco De Mulero & Adam Moss ft Latanza Waters – «I’m Lost (Ibiza´s 2010 Club Mix)
   The Ibizenco Franco de Mulero aka Kings of Groove together with Adam Moss returns on Purple Music with a new fantastic house production! Latanza Waters vocal complete the package… you will be lost in music!! Simply Fantastic!
6. The Funk Ensemble – Afrodisco (Dario D’Attis Afrodisiac Mix)
   Dario D’Attis aka The Funk Ensemble is back after long time with a typical funky driven beat journey. That’s why we couldn’t resist to paint Dario’s future purple and welcome him on board of our Purple boat. He is responsible for some of the recent jams and he has ready some future weapons that will dominate in 2010’s clubs.
7. Anthony Romeno – «Passion» (Anthony Romeno Sensual Mix)
   Lalalalala….lalalalalalala…Brazil, love, sun, beach and passion!!! Yes! In our opinion this record will be one of the summer soundtracks. Watch out for it!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
8. Ray Paxon feat. Marcia – «Life Is Precious» (Original Mix)
   The follow up of Ray Paxton’s “Music Is My Shelter” is ready to see the light of the day here is the vocal version to give a little taste what you can expect from his new EP coming soon on Purple. Ray & Ben in full effect!!!
9. Jamie Lewis & DJ Pippi feat. Kim Cooper – «So Sexy» (Kemal’s Big Flor Sex Mix) (Unreleased Bonus Track)
   What we can say that you still don’t know about this song?? The original has been one of the most successful records released on Purple Tracks and no remixes could be better than the one by the L.A. based Kemal simply explosive!!! High quality electronic grooves for your pick time set. A bonus to make happy more people than you can imagine.

In 1998, Julien collaborated closely with his friend DJ Deep. Together, they released an album, “The Deep”, several singles and remixes from equally famous labels, Nervous and Versatile. Julien rejoined Gregory in New York and they worked and ended up signed by Soha who still release the duo’s work. Julien Jabre chose to release his first tracks on Basic Recordings (“Voodance”, “Yalopa”, “Déliverance”). During this key period, he naturally decided to move away from DJing as club mixing was becoming dull and he wanted to concentrate on new music as his passion. Dancefloor – targeted tracks are limited because of the fact they are tailored to become a “comfortable” sound. Julien’s search for harmony and strong originality shows his innate ability to create music, even without vocals. He continued to work with Gregory and Soha, a collaboration which represented the relationship between club culture and emotion, melody and elegance. Through Soha, Julien signed several tracks (“Amour”, “Gabbeh”) as well as remixes (“Work” by Masters at Work) and collaborated with the Africanism project in 2001 (“Les Enfants du Bled”, “Takemussa”). In 2003, Julien started Elias, his own label, with which he could experiment with all musical styles. “Paixao” has souk-tinted melodies from Cape Verde or “War”, a pure techno track. Subsequently, he worked on the “Sneakers Freak Club” project to provide the album’s opening track “Same and Better”. Julien Jabre has recorded “Swimming Places”, a huge hit at the 2005 Winter Music Conference. Initially released on Elias in September 2005, it will be re-released by Defected Records in early 2006. For the rest of 2006, Julien will dedicate himself to composing and producing his first album.

As we have Belgian roots, we must admit that we’re very proud to announce the release of the new Sweet Coffee album. Face to Face is already number four in line, but after having listened to all tracks, we have a strong ‘this is just the beginning’ feeling for Sweet Coffee.
This time, no less than six female singers were asked to sing some heavenly tunes for their new album. Each one with her own and specific sound. The former lead vocalist Bibi Diabokua left the band, but we get loads of different styles in return.
U-Turn was the first single of this album, but Daylight seems to overclass the success of U-Turn already. And there’s more to come…

On February 25th, Sweet Coffee presented Face to Face in the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. Check the video report (in Dutch).

South Street Player – (Who) Keeps changing your mind (Daniel Bovie & Roy Rox remix): Daniel Bovie and Roy Rox keep remixing as if their lives depend on it. And we love it, this is peak-time stuff!

The Heller & Farley Project featuring Cevin Fisher – We built this house (Fire Island remix): Do we have to introduce mister Pete Heller? We don’t think so… a new collaboration with Cevin Fisher and it’s a goody!

Dennis Ferrer – Hey Hey (TDN re-edit): Dennis Ferrer’s “Hey Hey” is once again a nasty club and radiohit, but the (so far) unreleased Tom de Neef re-edit mix, makes the track just that bit more powerfull without changing it too much. We’ve received a promotional copy but release this one a.s.a.p.!
